Northeast Regional Alliance MedPrep Summer Program for College Freshmen

For College Freshmen who are residents of New York City, Long Island, Westchester or New Jersey. Applications must be received by April 1, 2010.

Improve your chances of acceptance into medical school in this six week program that meets each summer for three years.

To be eligible for the NERA MedPrep Program, an applicant must:

  • Be a resident of one of the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester county, or New Jersey;
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident. This is a non-residential program. (Please keep in mind that classes may start as early as 8:00 am.)
  • Be a college freshman or sophomore; residents of New York City can also apply during their senior year of high school;
  • Be in good academic standing;
  • New Jersey residents only: Have completed college chemistry (I, II or both) and English composition (I, II or both)

The MedPrep program is an alliance between the Manhattan-Staten Island AHEC (Area Health Education Center), Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and the New Jersey Medical School Office of Special Programs.
