We are a civil rights law firm. Our purpose is to work for social justice in disability rights, environmental justice, and access to health care. We also know the value of partnering with community groups in order to achieve common goals and BHR represents not just common goals but similar approaches to getting there. Being a member of REACH was a natural for us. We have been able to take advocacy for changes to new levels our access to health care program is a great example of community led efforts actually working. We appreciate REACH as a model that mirrors our own approach to community lawyering and together we have bee able to bring more people to the table in an effort to find solutions to health disparity. We are still working on access to health care as a primary focus of our work and we believe that bringing back community health planning will take the collective of strength of our coalition.
