Agape Love Christian Center

As a family-focused church, we pay close attention to the needs of families and the individual members in those families. Watching the health and the health challenges of our parish members is something that we do because it is part of our mission and part of the training we have as nurses. We see the disparity that exists in our community and we know that one way to fight against health inequality is to teach people how to take better care of their, “temples”. Our “Fine, Fit, and Fabulous” program is an example of benefiting from our membership in REACH. We joined REACH because we discovered that we were doing many of the same things already but we realized that working together could produce greater results. We have expanded our work on diabetes for example, and we know that if we keep doing what we are all doing, together, we can end health disparities.
