Michele Flournoy

Vice President, Human Resources

Michele Flournoy joined the Institute in 2010. In her short time at the Institute, Ms. Flournoy has re-organized the Institute’s human resources department and played a key role in establishing a contract with 1199 SEIU, the union representing certain positions at the Institute’s Family Health Center at North General. Ms. Flournoy has also initiated new recruitment methods for hiring qualified providers for the organization.

Michele brings to the Institute nearly twenty years of experience working in labor relations and human resources within the healthcare field. Prior to joining the Institute, Ms. Flournoy was the associate director of corporate human resources for Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, where she oversaw the two campuses with combined bed occupancy of 600. Michele also spent nearly ten years as the human resources generalist manager for New York Presbyterian Hospital providing administrative leadership of the human resources and payroll departments supporting over 4,000 FTEs.
